Growing Greeener

Logo1Drought, floods and poor soils mean that hunger has become a way of life in many villages in rural southern Malawi. APF’s partner, the New Life Church network, is working alongside 450 households across 9 communities in three districts teaching sustainable farming methods so farmers can adapt to changing weather patterns and grow more to feed their families. Using the Bible as a starting point, lives are being changed both now and for all eternity to come.

Let There Be Light

Logo1Before he received his solar power unit from APF partner Watu Nanuru, Pastor Wellece from rural Morogoro Region in Tanzania spent much of his small farm income on expensive and dangerous kerosene to light his home. Solar power has made a huge difference. Besides free, clean and safe light, he is now able to support his family’s needs by generating income from charging his neighbours’ mobile phones.
