A bicycle is a simple but effective tool for pastoral ministry and community cohesion in rural villages in East Africa. A bike enables transport and can be a useful means of income generation helping leaders visit, communicate, trade and serve their community. The furthest anyone has cycled to attend an APF conference is 40km (each way) in a day. The Lycra Challenge mirrors this commitment – Canterbury to Tenterden is approximately 40km – and the ride will be broken by a visit to Tenterden Baptist Church where Dave will be speaking (in Lycra?!) at the morning service! If you are able to help the funds raised will be used to purchase bikes for rural leaders in east Africa. A bike typically costs around £40 … Thank You
